Our Busy Bees get ready for Big School

In the formative developmental age of 3 to 5 years, children are at a crucial stage where their minds are as absorbent as sponges, and the right educational environment can make a significant difference in their developmental trajectory. Recognising this, our Pre-Kindergarten School Readiness program is crafted with precision to provide rich learning experiences that are both stimulating and nurturing

Our curriculum is a blend of structured and exploratory activities, designed to promote cognitive skills, emotional growth, and social interaction. We emphasise the importance of play-based learning, where children can explore concepts and ideas in a setting that is both fun and educational. Our educators are not just teachers; they are facilitators of a journey of discovery, guiding each child through a learning experience that respects their individual pace and interests. Our School Readiness program encompasses the subjects of English (Literacy),Mathematics (Numeracy), Arabic & Islamic Studies/Qur’an.

Literacy & Numeracy

Each lesson is practically designed to give our students the tools and skills to become young literate learners, with a close awareness to their surroundings. We emphasise on essential literacy skills that are crucial for early childhood development such as letter recognition,
phonemic awareness and the basics of reading and writing. Children are also introduced to numeracy through number recognition, foundational counting and basic operations like addition and subtraction.

Social and Motor Skills

Our educators are trained to also place a strong emphasis on enhancing fine motor skills through various activities like cutting, drawing, colouring and writing, which are essential for fostering hand-eye coordination and preparation for the academic demands of writing in school.

Arabic

Segments of our sessions will be dedicated to learning the foundations of the Arabic language. As being the language of the Qur’an, the Arabic language holds a special place for those willing to take an educational path into religious studies. The Arabic curriculum comprises teaching of the alphabet, numerals and basic oral language & communication.

Islamic Studies & Qur’an

Students will engage in Qur’an recitation/memorisation, in the aim for them to memorise basic surah’s. They will learn essential du’as and Islamic Studies concepts which emphasise faith-based foundations and pillars such as the importance of tawheed and the love of our Prophets (peace be upon them).

 

NAPLAN BOOSTER CLASSES

NAPLAN Booster classes are designed to equip students with the necessary skills and practice to confidently approach the Reading, Language & Conventions, Writing, and Numeracy NAPLAN tests.

Tailored specifically for students in Years 3 and 5, these classes focus on developing a comprehensive understanding of the test formats and question types. Educators work closely with students to cultivate strategies for effectively navigating the tests, enhancing their ability to handle multiple choice, technology-enhanced, and short written response questions. Additionally, a significant emphasis is placed on refining their writing skills in persuasive and narrative texts, ensuring students are well-prepared to excel in the Writing test.
